生化机理	Eugenol is a small molecule with structural analogy to Capsaicin that demonstrates agonism of the TRPV1 receptor.Eugenol is described to activate inward currents at the TRPV1,and this action is antagonized by the Capsaicin antagonist Capsazepine.Agonism of the TRPV1 by Eugenol has been correlated with an anesthetic effect.Eugenol also demonstrates antifungal and antimicrobial activity,showing efficacy against Candida albicans biofilms,Listeria monocytogenes and Escherichia coli.Eugenol is further described to induce reactive oxygen species(ROS) production and to scavenge ROS,thus demonstrating prooxidant and antioxidant effects.
