TNC系列连接器设计于二十世纪五十年代末。TNC是一种螺纹连接方式的BNC，它的接触界面与BNC相同，只是采用了螺纹连接。它具有的抗震性及防水性能，TNC系列连接器频率Z高可达11GHz。
TNC系列被广泛用于蜂窝移动通信系统，测试检测设备，它还大量用于飞机，宇航，雷达探测等震动比较剧烈的场合。
