Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase-like N (PTPRN) belongs to the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family and receptor class 8 subfamily. PTPRN contains 1 tyrosine-protein phosphatase domain, is expressed in neuroendo*(代"c")rine cells only. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. It implicated in neuroendo*(代"c")rine secretory processes. It may be involved in processes specific for neurosecretory granules, such as their biogenesis, trafficking or regulated exocytosis or may have a general role in neuroendo*(代"c")rine functions. It seems to lack intrinsic enzyme activity, may play a role in the regulation of secretory granules via its interaction with SNTB2.This PTP was found to be an autoantigen that is reactive with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) patient sera, and thus may be a potential target of autoimmunity in diabetes mellitus.

Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 25 (TNFRSF25) contains 1 death domain and 4 TNFR-Cys repeats. TNFRSF25 is a cell surface receptor of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily which mediates apoptotic signalling and differentiation, activated by a monous ligand, known as TL1A (TNFSF15), which is rapidly upregulated in antigen presenting cells and some endothelial cells following Toll-Like Receptor or Fc receptor activation. This receptor has been shown to signal both through the TRADD adaptor molecule to stimulate NF-kappa B activity or through the FADD adaptor molecule to stimulate caspase activation and regulate cell apoptosis. It may play a role in regulating lymphocyte homeostasis.

Phosphatidylinositol 4-Kinase β (PI4KB) belongs to the PI3/PI4-kinase family and Type III PI4K subfamily. PI4KB contains one PI3K/PI4K domain and one PIK helical domain. It is highly expressed in heart, skeletal muscle, pancreas, testis and ovary,; it is lowly expressed in liver tissue. PI4KB kinase activity can be inhibited by wortmannin, and increased by interacting with NCS1/FREQ. PI4KB phosphorylates phosphatidylinositol (PI) in the first committed step in the production of the second messenger inositol-1,4,5,-trisphosphate (PIP). In addition, PI4KB may regulate Golgi disintegration/reorganization during mitosis.
