Nuclease S1 isolated from Aspergillus oryzae exhibits endo-and exolytic hydrolytic activity for the phosphodiester bonds of single-stranded DNA and RNA yielding 5’-phosphomononucleotide and 5’-phosphooligonucleotide end-products.
