Recombinant Hepatitis B Surface Antigen Adw subtype, Saccharomyces

Introduction  HBsAg is the surface antigen of the Hepatitis-B-Virus (HBV). The capsid of a virus has different surface proteins from the rest of the virus. The antigen is a protein that binds specifically on one of these surface proteins. It is commonly referred to as the Australian Antigen. 

Source Saccharomyces cerevisae. 

Recombinant Hepatitis B Surface Antigen Adw subtype, SaccharomycesPhysical Appearance  Sterile Filtered clear solution. 

Formulation Sterile Filtered solution containing 0.05M phosphate buffer & 0.2M NaCl, pH-7. 

2 Stability  HBsAg protein Should be stored at 4°C. 

Purity Greater than 98.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE. 

Application HBsAg protein was tested in ELISA with anti-HBsAg antibodies. 

Recombinant Hepatitis B Surface Antigen Adw subtype, SaccharomycesAnalysis  Protein content was measured using Lowry method.

Lipid content was measured by total lipid.

Carbohydrate content was measured by Anthrone method.

Antigen content was measured by ELISA.
