      Specificity The antibody CTD4H8 recognizes the C-terminal repeat of the largest subunit of RNA polymerase II from HeLa and S. cerevisiae cells. This antibody recognizes both the phosphorylated and unphosphorylated forms of the RNA polymerase II. The immunogen used was a peptide containing 10 repeats of the synthetic peptide YSPTSPS using chemically synthesized phospho-ser5.


      RNA Polymerase II CTD4H8 Monoclonal Antibody, Alexa Fluor Labeled This antibody is covalently coupled to Alexa Fluor® 488 to generate a one-step staining reagent; no secondary antibody detection is required. Alexa Fluor® 488 is an excellent alternative to fluorescein (FITC) dyes.
      Uses This antibody is effective in immunoblotting, immunofluorescence (IF), immunprecipitation (IP) and ELISA. It can also be used in chromatin immunoprecipitation assays.
      Suggested Working Dilution The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition.

      • IF: 1:1,000

      Storage Store at -20°C. Upon initial thawing, apportion into working aliquots and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to prevent denaturing the antibody. For long-term storage, keep the antibody at -80°C.
