GemCell™ US Origin SuperCalf serum is created by supplementing formula-fed calf serum with elemental iron so as to saturate endogenous bovine transferrin. This product has been shown empirically to provide better growth in some established cell lines and primary cultures that would otherwise require fetal bovine serum to achieve acceptable growth.
