关于ICAM-2:
ICAM-2 is a 55-65 kD transmembrane glycoprotein possessing 2 extracellular Ig domains, a single transmembrane domain, and a short 26-amino acid cytoplasmic domain. ICAM-2 is expressed on most leukocytes, and is strongly expressed on vascular endothelial cells. Interactions of ICAM-2 and the integrin receptors mediate cell adhesion in a wide range of lymphocyte, monocyte, natural killer cell, and granulocytewith other cells, and play important roles in many adhesion-dependent immune and inflammation responses, such as T cell aggregation, NK-cell cytotoxicity and migration, lymphocyte recirculation, etc. Serum levels of ICAM-2 correlated significantly with the inflammatory and course sequences of trichinosis in mice and had a similar relation with blood eosinophilia. So, estimation of ICAM-2 serum levels may prove useful in diagnosis of trichinosis recent infections, and in monitoring the prognosis and response to treatment.

α-N-Acetylneuraminide α-2,8-Sialyltransferase (ST8SIA1) belongs to the glycosyltransferase 29 family. ST8SIA1 is a sialytransferase that catalyzes the transfer of sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to GM3 to produce GD3 and GT3. ST8SIA1 is highly expressed in melanoma cell lines, adult and fetal brain, low expressed in adult and fetal lung. ST8SIA1 may act as a type II transmembrane protein with a short N-termianl cytoplasmic domain and a single-pass transmembrane domain folowed by an enzymatic domain in the lument of the Golgi apparatus.

关于KLK3:
KLK3, also known as APS, is short for Prostate-specific antigen. It is a 261 aa. protein which belongs to the peptidase S1 family and Kallikrein subfamily. This protein has 5 isforms produced by alternative splicing. It is a secreted protein and can forms a heterodimer with SERPINA5 which can inhibit its activity. KLK3 is also strongly inhibited by Zn2+, 100 times more abundant in semen than in serum. This inhibition is relieved by exposure to semenogelins, which are avid zinc binders. KLK3 can hydrolyzes semenogelin-1 thus leading to the liquefaction of the seminal coagulum.

Peroxiredoxin-4 (PRDX4) is a member of the AhpC/TSA family. PRDX4 is a cytoplasmic protein and contains one thioredoxin domain. PRDX4 exists in homodimer or heterodimer with PRDX1. PRDX4 reduces hydrogen peroxide and alkyl hydroperoxides to water and alcohol with the use of reducing equivalents derived from thiol-containing donor molecules. In addition, PRDX4 is probably involved in redox regulation of the cell, regulating the activation of NF-kappa-B in the cytosol by a modulation of I-kappa-B-alpha phosphorylation.
