The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month ａnd for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

Odorant signal transduction is probably mediated by a G-protein coupled cascade using cAMP as second messenger. CNGA2 belongs to the cyclic nucleotide-gated cation channel （TC 1.A.1.5） family ａnd contains one cyclic nucleotide-binding domain. It may be involved in odorant signal transduction. The olfactory channel can be shown to be activated by cyclic nucleotides which leads to a depolarization of olfactory sensory neurons.
