This kit is designed to be used in conjuction with streptavidin conjugates in cases where the streptavidin conjugate binds nonspecifically to tissue elements. Streptavidin can interact with tissue elements which do not bind avidin and this kit is recommended for those applications. The Streptavidin/Biotin Blocking Kit should be used in the same manner as that described for the Avidin/Biotin Blocking Kit (Cat. No. SP-2001) but is recommended for use only when streptavidin conjugates are employed for detection.
