    Product DescriptionLS-F2885 is a 96-well enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the Quantitative detection of Human CSTB / Cystatin B / Stefin B in samples of Breast Milk, Cell Culture Supernatants, Plasma, Saliva, Serum and Urine. It is based upon a Sandwich assay principle and can be used to detect levels of CSTB / Cystatin B / Stefin B as low as 10 picograms per milliliter.
    About CSTB / Cystatin B / Stefin B
    The cystatin superfamily encompasses proteins that contain multiple cystatin-like sequences. Some of the members are active cysteine protease inhibitors, while others have lost or perhaps never acquired this inhibitory activity. There are three inhibitory families in the superfamily, including the type 1 cystatins (stefins), type 2 cystatins and kininogens. This gene encodes a stefin that functions as an intracellular thiol protease inhibitor. P04080  NM_000100 NP_000091.1
