    Product DescriptionLS-F32876 is a 96-well enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the Quantitative detection of Human CSTA / Cystatin A in samples of Plasma, Serum and Tissue Homogenates. It is based upon a Sandwich assay principle and can be used to detect levels of CSTA / Cystatin A as low as 0.188 nanograms per millilter.
    About CSTA / Cystatin A
    The cystatin superfamily encompasses proteins that contain multiple cystatin-like sequences. Some of the members are active cysteine protease inhibitors, while others have lost or perhaps never acquired this inhibitory activity. There are three inhibitory families in the superfamily, including the type 1 cystatins (stefins), type 2 cystatins, and kininogens. P01040 NM_005213 NP_005204.1

Upon receipt of an order each kit is assembled and tested to ensure that it meets specifications before shipping. Minor changes may occur to the Range, Sensitivity, and Precision. In the event of a significant change the order would be confirmed with the customer before shipping ELISA kit lot numbers reflect the date of final assembly and testing for each specific kit rather than a bulk manufactured lot. All kits are tested to confirm that they fall within their defined Inter- and Intra- assay coefficient of variation.

    Background
     
    This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti- CSTAantibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti- CSTA antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP- Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the CSTA amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of CSTA can be calculated.
